Our story
DAY & KNIGHT is a local family business specialising in the manufacture and installation of bespoke fitted furniture. The business launched in January 2000 and is focused on providing beautifully made, quality furniture for your home, with an emphasis on exceptional customer service and outstanding craftsmanship.
Our company has grown quickly: we opened our first factory in 2021, our High Wycombe showroom above the workshop in 2022, and in 2026 our second showroom at Wilton Village, near Salisbury. Our team are all fully qualified surveyors, expert craftsmen, joiners and carpenters - each of whom takes great pride in their work. Our primary goal is to ensure you are completely satisfied with every aspect of your DAY & KNIGHT experience.

Jonathan Hope, our founder
Jonathan started DAY & KNIGHT in January 2000 after a career working with well-known fitted furniture suppliers. His core values - an exceptional, personable service and outstanding attention to detail and craftsmanship with every piece - remain at the heart of everything we do.
Sadly, Jonathan passed away in January 2023, leaving his legacy to his son Charlie, who worked side by side with him for over 15 years. Today, that same passion drives the whole team.

Jonathan Hope
FounderJonathan started DAY & KNIGHT in January 2000 after a career working with some well-known fitted furniture suppliers. Jonathan’s core values were offering customers an exceptional, personable service, providing outstanding attention to detail and craftsmanship with every piece of bespoke fitted furniture he designed. Sadly, Jonathan passed away January 2023, leaving his legacy to his Son Charlie whom has worked side by side with Jonathan for over 15 years.
Charlie Hope
Owner & DirectorIt was inevitable that Charlie would follow in his father, Jonathan’s, footsteps and join the family business. When Charlie is not asleep, he is working, having grown the business rapidly and opening DAY & KNIGHT’s first Factory and Showroom! Charlie manages the Factory and visits customers creating beautiful bespoke designs.
Danielle Hope
Office & AccountsDanielle is our Office & Accounts Manager. From manning the showroom, creating beautiful CAD designs and running the day to day of the business, no task is too big.
Callum Irving-Thomas
CarpenterCallum joined us back at the beginning of 2018, with Charlie being his cousin, we were not surprised at how quickly he picked up the art of what we do! After completing his third year at college he is a fully qualified carpenter and we are proud to have him as part of our team.
Samuel Clarke
Project ManagerSamuel joined us as a fitter and now manages projects from start to finish - carrying out final measurement checks, building our bespoke furniture on our complex systems and seeing every project through. Offering exceptional customer service we are proud to have him part of the team.
Albert Slusarczyk
CarpenterJoining straight from College, Albert quickly integrated himself and become a valued member of the team. Albert joined us after completing a Carpentry qualification and utilised his skills by assisting our expert fitters and developing his knowledge further to learn the ‘DAY & KNIGHT’ way to offer expert craftsmanship.
Karlos Slivinskas
Warehouse ManagerNo successful business could work without the man behind the scenes! Karlos, our Warehouse Manager, runs our factory crafting our bespoke furniture, cutting, edging and packing our material ready for our fitters to get it on the road ready to be fitted in its new home. ‘Our Machine running our Machines’
George Carrington-Bailey
Warehouse AssistantGeorge is our Warehouse Assistant working with Karlos and Jack expertly crafting our bespoke furniture, cutting, edging and packing our material ready for our fitters to get it on the road. Some would call them the three Musketeers!
Jack Shurly
Warehouse AssistantJack is a key part of our warehouse team, responsible for building high-quality bespoke drawers and cupboards that support our fitted furniture installation teams on the road. Reliable and hands-on, Jack’s work behind the scenes plays an important part in keeping our operations moving.
George Chisholm
Warehouse AssistantGeorge is our specialist operative, responsible for producing the more complex drawer fronts and detailed components required for our projects. His precision and expertise ensure everything is finished to a high standard before it reaches the carpenters on site.

Marketing Lead ManagerCally joined DAY & KNIGHT in June 2023 as our Creative and Marketing Lead working behind the scenes to showcase our outstanding work for the world to see! From social media to advertising and branding, Cally is your girl!

CAD & Design ConsultantMaria joined the team in July 2024 as our new design consultant. Her incredible attention to detail and perfectionist touch turn every project into something extraordinary and she brings every customers vision to life.

Marta Rybarczyk
CAD & Design ConsultantMarta joined DAY & KNIGHT as our CAD and Showroom Designer, based at our new Salisbury showroom. With a keen eye for design and technical precision to match, Marta works closely with customers to bring their bespoke furniture visions to life through detailed CAD visualisations. Whether you are visiting the showroom or planning your next project, Marta is on hand to make the process as seamless and exciting as possible.
Jack West
Carpenters AssistantJack works alongside our fitting team out on the road, supporting installations and ensuring every project is carried out with care and efficiency. A dependable and enthusiastic member of our on-site crew, Jack plays an important role in keeping our installations running smoothly and to the high standard our customers have come to expect.
Tegan Elizabeth
Kitchen DesignerTegan is a brilliant dual-talent member of the DAY & KNIGHT team, dividing her time between our kitchen design service and the day-to-day running of the office. As our dedicated kitchen designer, Tegan brings creativity and an exceptional eye for detail to every project, working closely with customers to craft bespoke kitchen designs perfectly tailored to their lifestyle and home. When she is not designing dream kitchens, she is making sure the office runs like clockwork behind the scenes.
James Andrews
CarpenterJames joined DAY & KNIGHT back in 2015 as an apprentice and has worked his way up ever since to become one of our skilled carpenters. His years of hands-on experience and genuine dedication to the craft mean every piece he works on is finished to the exacting standard our customers have come to expect.
