Client’s Brief: A Boutique Bedroom with Functional Flair
The brief was clear: the client sought a selection of custom fitted bedroom furniture that not only served their storage needs, but also mirrored the sophistication of a modern boutique hotel. They hoped for ample drawer space, a dedicated vanity area, significant hanging space, and clever integration of their television, all wrapped up in a contemporary style.

At DAY & KNIGHT, every project is unique and we accepted this challenge with enthusiasm, proposing a comprehensive design that included: A large fitted wardrobe, which formed the heart of the makeover. This wardrobe design offered abundant hanging space and featured a built-in area for the TV, just as the client requested.
It also included a chic vanity unit, positioned under a window to leverage the benefits of natural light creating the perfect spot for morning preparations. A mid-sized side dresser, which added additional drawer space and another countertop area for ornaments and other personal items.
Lastly, the addition of matching bedside units completed the room’s storage solutions, these pieces offered further space and continuity in design.
Design Details and Expert Installation
The choice of Stockholm doors and drawer fronts was instrumental in achieving the desired boutique look. Finished in a beautiful Frost White and accented with Matt Black contemporary “block” style handles, the furniture projected an air of modern sophistication. A fashionable decorative floral feature wall became the backdrop to this stunning arrangement, perfectly complementing the overall rooms aesthetic.
Installation was expertly handled by Albert and Callum from DAY & KNIGHT’s furniture installation team. Despite the room’s numerous varied ceiling heights and angles, their expertise shone through, especially Callum, who demonstrated his prowess in navigating these complex angular configurations.

The resulting bedroom transformation is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship. The seamless integration of storage solutions with stylistic considerations has created a space that is not only beautiful, but one that is incredibly functional. Giving the client exactly what they had hoped for.
The vanity unit, strategically placed to benefit from natural light, and the sophisticated media incorporation within the wardrobe, reflect a deep understanding of modern living requirements. The chosen colour palette and finishes amplify the light, making the room feel more spacious and inviting in the day and cosy at night, while the feature wall adds a captivating visual interest that ties the space together.
