Kicking Off 2024 Events, Starting with the Homebuilding & Renovation Show held at The IEC in Farnborough
Not only was the Homebuilding & Renovation Show DAY & KNIGHT’s first event of 2024, it was actually our first time exhibiting at this particular event. Held at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre in Hampshire it promised to be a great opportunity for our team to showcase our bespoke furniture. Due to a busy Christmas, we went with a more minimalistic display just highlighting our fitted wardrobes with a single, but large contemporary demonstration model with 4 panel eclipse doors finished in cashmere and natural Lancaster oak internals.
It turned out to be a rather busy event, which was particularly popular with local Hampshire and Surrey residents. It was lovely to meet lots of our past and current clients who were coincidentally attending the show too. With each of the former giving us lots of positive feedback about the furniture we had previously installed in their homes.
DAY & KNIGHT had the sad loss of Jonathan Hope (our founder), who passed away at the end of last year. To honour his memory, the entire team wore custom made t-shirts and jumpers with his picture proudly printed on the back. Many of our clients and visitors found this a moving tribute and we were really pleased by the warm response received.
Beyond our stand, there was much to see at the show with live seminars and many other specialist companies in the homebuilding and renovation industry. Including home insulation, bi-folding doors, security, self-builds, architects, Jacuzzi’s and sustainable energy solutions to name a few.
There were also some interesting food stands; one double decker mobile fish and chip bus was a wonderful and popular eatery at the show. Although all the food was tasty, many visitors had concerns over the price (like most shows). Therefore, if you’re on a budget and attending an event soon you may wish to take a packed lunch.
